General Terms & Conditions
The following shall apply to all certification schemes operated by the Association
unless otherwise noted.
1.0 Scope
1.1 There shall be three categories of certificates issued by the Association
- Record certificates
- Notable Performances
- Certificates of Merit
1.2 All claims for recognition must relate to performances made in a genuine competition, on a full-sized billiard table located within the geographic boundaries of England. There will be no restriction on the nationality of the claimant.
1.3 Claims may be back-dated but must have been made under the Rules of Snooker published by the WPBSA in September 1995. In recognition that many League matches specify that the "miss" rule shall not be applied, applications will still be accepted when games are played under this exclusion, subject to it being declared.
1.4 Certificates of Merit shall be awarded at the discretion of the Association.
2.0 Procedure
2.1. Any claim for a record or notable achievement must be supported by valid evidence that the achievement has been made as described. This evidence will typically be as follows:
EASB Competitions
- Description of the record or achievement claimed.
- Name, date and location of the competition.
- Names of two independent witnesses.
Other Competitions
- Description of the record or achievement claimed.
- Name, date and location of the competition.
- Endorsement of the claim by two independent witnesses, who shall also supply their names and contact details and/or, a copy of any published news item referring to the claim.
2.3. All certificates shall bear a unique number and are only valid when signed and sealed by a Director of the Association.
3.0 Delivery
3.1 All claims must be in writing and sent to the EASB registered office. For EASB competitions, notification by Email will be acceptable. Other claims, in addition to the supporting evidence, must be accompanied by a cheque for £25 made out to "EASB". This will be refundable in the case of a claim being refused.
3.2 The full postal address of the claimant, or the address to which the certificate is to be sent, must be included in the correspondence.

The following add to, or supersede, the general terms and conditions.
Record Breaks & Notable Achievements
1.1 The Accreditation Panel will have the right to reclassify a claim for a record into a lower category.
1.2 The Association shall maintain a register of all certificates issued which shall be published in extract on the EASB website.
First Competitive Century
1.1 This scheme is intended to acknowledge the achievement of players making their first competitive snooker century break.
1.2 Generally, applications may be backdated no no more than 12 months. Specific circumstances for an exception to this deadline would only be considered on application to the Accreditation Panel.
National Break Competition
1.1 The National Break Competition will run from 1st May - 30th April each year and is only open to established Snooker Leagues operating in England.
1.2 A League shall be defined as an association of clubs that organizes matches for its members either as teams or individuals. At the discretion of the EASB Accreditation Panel it may also cover similar competitions organised within an individual club.
1.3 Competitions organised on the knock-out principle shall be specifically excluded. Also, Professional snooker players (ie WPBSA members) are not eligible to enter.
1.4 To be eligible a League must have been in operation for at least one full season. The onus for demonstrating that they meet the eligibility criteria shall rest with the League.
1.5 During the first year of operation the scheme will consider any break made between 1st May 2006 to 30th April 2007, and thereafter it will run from the same dates each year. All claims must be received no later than seven days from the closing date.
1.6 Applications must be made only by a League official/organiser and confirmed by them as being authentic. The Procedure described under the General Terms & Conditions shall not be applicable. There will be no fee payable for any submission.
1.7 Only snooker breaks of 100 or over need be submitted, and subject to acceptance, details shall be included on the EASB website. The player making the highest break on or before 30th April each year shall qualify for a Certificate of Merit issued by the Association. The League submitting the most century breaks from amongst its members shall also qualify for a Certificate of Merit.
1.8 In addition to the value of the break and the player making it, the EASB website details shall include the name of the League in which the break was made. If supplied, a link to the League's website will be provided free of charge.
