PAUL HUNTER ENGLISH OPEN
  *SPECIAL EVENT*
(Open to any player in the World)
This year's event is split into two sections with the Group Stages friday 10th to Monday 13th February 2012 and the Knock-out Stages Wednesday 11th to Friday 13th April 2012. The event will be staged at the Northern Snooker Centre in Leeds, who are again competition sponsors. INITIAL STAGES PLAYED OVER ROUND ROBIN FORMAT BEST OF SEVEN FRAMES and 64 players will qualify to the Knockout stages. Last 64 to Last 16 will be best of seven, Quarters/Semi's best of nine, and Final best of eleven.

ENGLISH AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP
This Championship will be played on a Knockout basis, with regional qualifiers being played at up to eight venues (depending on number of entries) and will be played over the best of seven frames. Last 32 and 16 best of nine frames; Q-finals and S-Finals best of fifteen frames; Final best of nineteen
frames

ENGLISH PRO-TICKET TOUR
(Elite Player Members Only)
Stage One will comprise of five events. All matches are best of seven frames, with the exception of the final, which is best of nine frames. Following the stage one events, Players who finish in the top 16 of the rankings will be invited to compete in Stage Two.

Stage Two will see the 16 pre-qualified players compete over a further three events, plus an eight man play-off competition.

Please Note: A Main Tour place is normally awarded to the winner of this series, but this is subject to a place being made available by World Snooker, and acceptance of any nomination will be entirely at the discretion of World Snooker.

AMATEUR SNOOKER TOUR
(Open to players aged over 18 and under 40)
Stage One will see four events played over each of two (NORTH/SOUTH) regional zones. Events 1 and 3 will be played over a round robin format followed by a knockout stage. Events 2 and 4 will be played over a straight knockout format, with a plate competition for first match losers. The top eight players from each zone after four events will be eligible to take part stage 2 later in the season.

ENGLISH CLUB PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP
(Open to players aged over 18, who are not EASB "Elite" members)
All entries must be endorsed by a club with playing facilities, and matches will be played as drawn on a home or away basis, over the best of seven frames. Matches will be drawn on a regional basis until the last 16 stage, when all remaining players will compete at a central venue to find the two finalists. The final will be played over the best of nine frames. Any player who wishes to upgrade their membership to "elite" after entering this event, can only do so once they are eliminated or they must withdraw from this championship.

COMBINED CUE-SPORTS CHAMPIONSHIP
(Snooker & Billiards)
Regional qualifiers will be played on a knockout basis. Matches comprise of two frames of Snooker, 2 by 100 up Billiards, and two more frames of Snooker. Aggregate scores will determine the Winner.  There will be no re-spotted black in any frames, and all frames of snooker must be played to the final black unless you are conceding the match. In the result of a tie after all games have been played, a further game of 100 up billiards will determine the winner.

ENGLISH SIX REDS CHAMPIONSHIP
Regional qualifiers will be played, over a round robin basis initially, best of seven frames. The Last 16 will also be played on a round robin basis, with two groups of eight, playing best of seven frames, followed by quarter finals and semi-finals over the best of nine frames. The final will be played over the best of eleven frames.

ENGLISH MASTERS CHAMPIONSHIP
(Open to players aged over 40)
The early rounds will normally be played on a round robin basis, at regional venues. Games will be best of five frames. The last 16, quarter finals and semi-finals will be played over the best of seven frames, and the final over the best of nine frames.

ENGLISH MASTERS' TOUR
(Open to players aged over 40)
Events 1 and 3 will be played over a round robin format followed by a knockout stage.Events 2 and 4 will be played over a straight knockout format with a Plate competition for first match losers.

ENGLISH LADIES CHAMPIONSHIP
The early rounds will normally be played on a round robin basis, at a central or regional venues. Games will be best of five frames. The last 16, quarter finals and semi-finals will be played over the best of seven frames, and the final over the best of nine frames. This event will act as a Double Ranking Point event towards the Ladies Tour rankings.

ENGLISH LADIES SNOOKER TOUR
Events 1 and 3 will be played over a Round Robin format followed by a Knockout stage. Events 2 and 4 will be played over a straight Knocout format, with a plate competition for first match losers.
Ranking Points in the Ladies Championships count Double Towards these rankings.

ENGLISH PREMIER JUNIOR TOUR
(Open only to pre-qualified players  who are aged under 21)
This is a five event tour comprising 40 players who have previously qualified. All events are played over 2 days, with day one comprising of eight groups of five players, played over best of five frames round robin. Two players from each group will qualify to the last 16. Day two will continue under a knockout format, playing best of seven frames throughout. The draw for the last 16 will be seeded based on final group positions. At the end of this season, the age rule for the Premier Tour will be reduced, so from the 2011/12 season, this tour will comprise of 40 players aged under 19. Any player who finishes in positions 40-48 this season, and is still eligible to play the following season, will have to compete on the Junior play-offs in order to keep their position on the Premier Tour. The final ranking list will be made up of the best five from six events results. Event Six will carry double prize money.

ENGLISH REGIONAL JUNIOR SNOOKER TOUR
(Open to players not eligible for the Premier Junior Tour, aged under 18)
This tour comprises five events in each of three zones. Groups will be played on a Round Robin basis with three frames per match. Eight or Sixteen players will qualify from the group stages into the knockout stages, where games will be played over the best of three frames through to a conclusion (subject to total number of entries). Knockout rounds will be seeded based upon final group positions. At the end of the season, players ranked 1 and 2 in each region will be eligible to compete on the 2012/13 Premier Junior Tour, whilst additional players from each region will be invited to enter the Junior Play-Offs, depending how many spaces are available.

NORTH/SOUTH/MIDLANDS DIVIDE : North comprises - North West/North East/Yorkshire. Midlands comprises - East Midlands/West
Midlands/East. South comprises - South East/South West.

ENGLISH JUNIOR BILLIARDS TOUR
(Open to players aged under 19)
Four events will be played on a National basis. Round Robin matches will be played initially, followed by knockout games. All matches will be played over a timed duration, the length of which will be determined by the number of entries.
The top eight players will then be invited to the last eight stage. The same format will be used in the last eight, except that the two finalists will compete at the EASB Finals Weekend.

ENGLISH UNDER 21'S CHAMPIONSHIP
(Open to players aged under 21)
This championship will be played on a knockout basis. Regional qualifiers will be played over the best of seven frames, with sixteen players qualifying to the final stages. The last 16 and quarter finals will be played over the best of seven frames, semi-finals best of nine and final over the best of fifteen frames.

ENGLISH UNDER 16'S CHAMPIONSHIP
(Open to players aged under 16)
Regional qualifiers will be played on a round robin basis (best of five frames), with sixteen players going through to the final qualifiers.  The last 16 onwards will be played on a knockout basis, with last 16 and quarter finals best of seven, semi-finals the best of nine and the final over the best of eleven frames.

ENGLISH UNDER 14's CHAMPIONSHIP
(Open to players aged under 14)
Regional qualifiers will be played on a round robin basis (three frames per match), with sixteen players going through to the final qualifiers. The last 16 onwards will be played on a knockout basis, with last 16, quarter finals and semi-finals best of seven and the final over the best of nine frames.

CIU/EASB NATIONAL BILLIARDS TOUR
*NEW EVENT*
(Open to Members and National CIU Club Members)
For the early rounds, players will be drawn either home or away at club nominated on the entry form by player. Matches will be
drawn geographically. Early rounds will be 500 up, with semi-finals 3 hrs, and final 4 hours. There will be a neutral venue for semi-finals and final. Download the format here

NORTH EAST DERBYSHIRE SNOOKER CENTRE UNDER 21's SERIES *NEW EVENT*

(Open only to players aged Under 21who meet the eligibility criteria as set out on the entry form)

This is a series of six events, played over two days each. Day one will be played under a round robin format, and day two a
knockout format with either 32 or 16 players, depending on the initial entry numbers. The exact format will be agreed once the
entry numbers are known
