MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL ONLINE
As part of our continuing aim to improve services to members, it is now possible to renew your membership for next season through the Membership Page of the website using either a credit/debit card, or, if you have one, a PayPal account. The system is linked to the secure PayPal site to ensure the safety of your financial details.

We have also created a Members Area in the website where you can modify your contact details and enter competitions electronically rather than relying on the postal deliveries, and, of course, save the cost of a stamp! This system will automatically generate a payment receipt which could be particularly useful for those players receiving sponsorship.

In addition, you will soon be able to enter all of next season's competitions through the website, and we are currently taking entries to the Paul Hunter Open by this means. The rest of the season's competitions will become available in the Members' Area as soon as the calendar is finalised.

We plan to have other features available to online members which will be introduced progressively.

• ENTRY FEES have been reduced. The cost of entry is now £60 for EASB members and £75 for non-members.
• PLAYING TIME has been increased. The first round will be played on a round-robin basis involving best-of-seven frame matches. Matches from the last 32 will be best of nine, with the final, best of eleven.
• MATCHES will start and finish on a week-end, to reduce any required holiday time needed from employers.
• PRIZE MONEY remains at £10,000 (subject to 128 entries) with a donation being made to the Paul Hunter Foundation.
• ENTRY is open to ANY PLAYER IN THE WORLD. Download an entry form here, or from the Tournament Page. This can be returned by post with a cheque, or by fax/email with credit/debit card details. All payments must be in Pounds Sterling (GBP)
• You can also enter this competition on-line through through this link, using our secure payment option.

The last date for receipt of entries is Monday 30th June 2008, although EASB reserve the right to bring forward this closing date in the event of oversubscription.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
The Annual General Meeting of the English Association of Snooker & Billiards was held on Thursday 3rd April 2008, at The World Snooker Academy, Sheffield. The following resolutions were passed:

• Clive Brown and Keith Warren were re-appointed as Directors.
• The following were confirmed as Honorary Life Members: Herbert Dean; Eric Hodgkinson; Bob Mason; Malcolm Thorne; Bob Tonge.
• Jane Boagey FCCA was appointed as examining accountant for the Association
• The following special resolution adopted and will be incorporated into the Constitution of the Association with immediate effect:

"THAT, Section 13 of the Articles of Association be deleted and replaced as follows: 13. Directors may participate in and vote at a meeting of the Board by means of conference communications equipment, whereby all the members of the Board participating in the meeting can see and hear each other."
