EASB welcomed two new members to the boardroom on 4th October 2009.

The first is Hilary Smith, who will be taking over from Peter Ainsworth as Company Secretary. A business studies graduate, Hilary has experience in the management of companies in various sectors including hotel, telecoms, media, engineering, and recruitment industries. Her skills cover finance, administration and public relations, and more recently she has been active in the develpoment of management procedures, policies and practices, related to Investors in People, Government legislature, Health & safety, Fire and Risk Assessments, Editorials and Award entries. Peter Ainsworth will remain as joint-Company Secretary for a transition period.

Also appointed as a Director is Paul Newbold, who will be involved with the development of the Marketing division of the company, specifically in the area of Merchandising. Paul has a background in the electrical manufacturing industry, and having worked in various management roles, is currently the Logistics Manager for a lighting distribution centre near Derby.

The Board consider that both appointments strengthen the existing management team and support the ongoing development of the Association.
